Scrapping with Mom

This week, I sat down with my mom and tried to start my disney album. I didn't get started, because I remembered something I wanted to add, and I didn't have it ready yet, so I got to work on "before the trip" pictures. I was really inspired, and did a 2 page spread on October, and one for November. Truthfully, I don't know that I did do November, as I have no recollection of it! My Mom laid out pages of her vacations, and then set about using the power pallet for the first time. It comes in a pack, with co-ordinating papers, stickers and titles. Everything matches, and once she got going, she couldn't stop! She said that after using this, she doesn't want to go back to regular scrapbooking, where you have to try to put colors together and hope that they look alright next to each other! I'm glad this works so well for her!

Tip of the Day: from Nick Kelsh's book!
Try to take a different picture than everyone else is taking. For example, at a wedding, everyone has a camera and they are clicking away. The bride and groom lucky enough to get the copies of these photos will have TONS of pictures of them cutting the cake. Maybe stand on a chair and take a different approach to the same picture. The author suggests standing on a chair to get a table shot, when you are trying to capture everyone gathered around for Thanksgiving dinner.

Scrap Happy!
